Currently hiring:
Digital Marketing Specialist / Account Manager
Location: Auckland (hybrid) | Employment type: Full-time (open to flexibility for the right person)
The role
This is a hybrid role that combines account leadership with hands-on digital marketing execution. You’ll be the lead contact for a portfolio of clients, owning their success while actively delivering smart campaigns, content, and performance marketing strategies.
You love juggling strategy and execution, big-picture thinking and getting things done. You’re proactive, creative, commercially aware — and most importantly, you get results.
Responsibilities
Account management
Be the trusted point of contact for clients, building relationships that drive long-term success
Lead client strategy, proactively identifying opportunities to improve outcomes and add value
Devise and deliver marketing plans, content calendars, and reporting that clearly articulate impact
Manage client communications, feedback, deadlines, and expectations with clarity and confidence
Digital marketing execution
Plan and run social, email, and paid digital campaigns (LinkedIn, Meta, Google etc.)
Create or direct the creation of digital content — which could be anything from captions, visuals, landing pages, ads etc
Interpret performance data and turn insights into actionable optimisations
Collaborate closely with other specialist designers, videographers, animators etc to bring creative ideas to life
You’ll need to bring:
3+ years of experience in a digital marketing agency or in-house marketing role (we would also consider someone who has a lot more experience than that for a more senior account director-level role)
A proven track record of managing multiple clients or complex stakeholders
Strong skills in digital campaign execution (social, content, email, paid media)
A solid grasp of analytics and how to use insights to guide strategy
Exceptional organisation, project management, and communication — you run an incredibly tight ship and you can galvanise others to meet deadlines and follow through on their contributions
Creative thinking with commercial smarts; you understand brand and content, but you also understand the need to deliver a strong return on investment
Experience briefing and reviewing creative work (designers, copywriters, etc.)
A working knowledge of AI and automation tools, and a willingness to explore how they can enhance content creation, campaign optimisation, and workflow efficiency
Hunger to learn and improve — you take initiative, seek clarity, and push for better
Bonus points for:
Hands-on design or other multimedia experience (good with a camera, editing suite, etc)
Familiarity with the tools we regularly use like HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, PipeDrive, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, GA4, Canva, Scoro etc
Experience with B2B marketing or tech/SaaS clients
This role is not for you if:
You’re hoping to be “just” a strategist or “just” a do-er — we need both
You wait to be told what to do
You’re not confident in managing clients independently
You find working across multiple accounts or industries overwhelming
You don’t have a sense of humour and strong meme game
What you’ll get:
Supportive, high-trust culture that values excellence and personal growth
A competitive salary that reflects your experience
An annual technology bonus, and other performance-based incentives
Meaningful mentorship and professional development
Hybrid working (we work in office four days a week, with one day WFH)
Opportunities to grow and evolve your role as we scale
The chance to work with a team who care deeply about doing good work
How to apply:
Send us your CV/portfolio and in your cover letter or email. No cookie-cutter applications, please. We’re not called The Attention Agency for nothing. Stand out, or be left on seen…
